The next step is to create a visual icon that clearly represents that activity, so it is easy to identify and locate. The press of that button issues a series of commands (or macro) that informs each and every component what it must do, using discrete commands and not toggle commands.

That means for example that the TV is told to be on. If the TV was already on, sending a power command would switch it off, but a discrete command we use, tells the TV to be absolute on, or in the case of a power down sequence: be absolute off. All of the remaining components are also told what to do: surround sound processor be on, then a delay is inserted to give it ample time to respond, then a signal to switch on to input 2 for satellite is given, then the satellite set top box is also told to switch on, regardless of its current power status, and so on until all components are on and in perfect standing to perform the requested activity.

These commands are repeatedly tested to ensure they operate in an absolute "bullet-proof" manner. These commands may also be tailored to include additional functions such as lowering the lights in synchronicity with the projection screen that lowers as a movie is about to begin.

We can also tie your security camera monitoring system into your cinema display device so you can see who is at your door while you are watching a movie. We can also tie this into your color touchpad remote, so you can see all your cameras in live, real time on your control pad.

Once you have that ability, along with the ability to control whole house lighting, sound, air conditioning and any other amenity you desire, it is hard to live without.
